Week 41 – WORK FOR IT
WORK FOR IT
Hey there welcome back, its been a busy week and its going to get busier over the coming weeks as I start to get things sorted with my aspirations with my photography, well I trust you have all had a great weekend? unfortunately I was working my normal day job on Saturday thus making it a quite short weekend but 1 week to go and then I have a week off so much to do and sort out leading up to that freedom!
Well this week I entered into the Nottingham and Notts Photography club printed competition round 1, this was to be my first entry within the advanced categories and I was not disappointed as I scored a 17 out of 20 for both of my images, so a big thank you to Noah (Week 31 Blog Shot ) and the stunning Rosey for her image (Week 38 Blog Shot) the judging was quite harsh over all but Noah got over 70- people saying Aww… so it invoked the right reaction I was overjoyed at the applause. lets just hope its a great start to this years season of images from me presented to the club members in following competitions?
Well quite a lazy day today and having worked Saturday I managed to get Thursday off last week which coulnd’t have been timed any better as for months now I have been trying to set up a second shoot with the wonderful Melissa who in actual fact was the first model I ever shot from a modelling site many months ago, I was very nervous as I went to her home in Loughborough and she was lovely, this time after many months Melissa came to Nottingham and it was so very nice to see her again and we had a fantastic day and got so many great images, so this week I have gone for a triptych image and I hope it amplifies the need to work hard to create a fantastic figure.
Well this week I have a visit to the photography club on Tuesday and I cannot wait for the weekend as I am down to photograph a fashion show and I also have a couples shoot with the super stunning Daniella and her husband Sean so I am buzzing already and just need to get the 5 days on normal day to day work out of the way, I plan to try and do some other stuff next week whilst I am off so much organising to do and fingers crossed all will go well, many thanks this week go to Melissa, Noah and Rosey x x x have a good week one and all and thanks for your support, Jurgen

Week 37 – ROSEY
ROSEY
Wow what a weekend and welcome back one and all to my blog site, I had a fantastic shoot with Sami and Abbie yesterday which was awesome and today I had a rather late starting shoot because my models got caught in the traffic because of the Marathion that was going on in NOttingham but it was well worth the wait as we had so many idea’s, outfits and overall had bags of fun in what i must say was my favorite shoot of all time!
This weeks image is one from today’s shoot of the simple awesome Rosey and there will be more going up on my Facebook page soon as well so do come and take a look, today’s theme was all about fitness and this image was kinda taken from the Eric Prdyz video “Call on me” I simply love it!and I hope you all do as well? remember to leave your comments and feedback and stay tuned for loads more brilliant images from this shoot and others coming soon.
Well this week is going to be very busy as well as I head off to Derby tomorrow for a meeting and then a pre shoot with 4 models and 2 make up artists on Tuesday, followed by another meeting on Wednesday, Thursday may well be another shoot and Friday I have an Events photography gig for an awards ceremony at Colwick Hall sponsored by Virgin Media, Saturday is due to be a shoot with the stunning Emily and Sunday see’s the fashion shoot for Du Furn Tailored, phew I need a holiday!

Week 35 – BUBBLE SPLASH
BUBBLE SPLASH
Good day to you all its the bank holiday and the sun is shining Yaah!! I hope you are all enjoying your time off and doing something fab? OK as for me the long wait is over and I am a converted man! the new camera is in my possession and it’s a beautiful Canon EOS 7D, its an amazing piece of kit and I cannot express enough how chuffed I am! so with that in mind I popped over to Matlock on Saturday for a quick walk with my brother and his girlfriend so as to snap a few pictures and followed that up with a brief visit to the National water sports centre yesterday and I again can say that I am staggered at this cameras performance with its bundled kit lens the images are crisp sharp and colourful, and this is without really delving into the Miriam of features its can offer me if I tweak the settings, so this weeks shot has not been touched at all apart from cropping and I hope you will agree that the image is awesome quality? well I like it, OK guys have a great week and thanks for the feed back as always, all the best from your newly converted Canon EOS User Jurgen.

Week 27 – Welcome back everyone this weekend has been a busy and a hot one! Friday night I managed to make it to the Red Bull X Fighters show that was held in the Nottingham market square which is where this week’s image comes from, unfortunately most of the images came out rather silhouetted as this was a massive learning curve for me for which I failed so I have used the silhouette to create this rather retro look and feel after a little manipulation within my photo editing package overall I think it has come of rather well and thus thought I would post it up so as to get your thoughts (and any tips you may have on exposure light metering!) this Sunday I spent the day at the R.A.F Waddington air show and the imaging results were very similar yet again so I think I need some help with fast action subject! Well I am sure I can get a few images out of the trip and will try and perhaps get one up next week for your all-important critique.
